Benjamin Tuttle is about to find out. He is the foretold, after all—only no one’s ever told him, and he’s about 30 years too late. All because of a tooth. His last baby tooth, to be exact. In this delightfully dark urban fantasy, Benjamin leads a very uneventful life—He’s a divorced father of two, middling marketing manager, and doesn’t have much else going on. That all changes after a trip to the dentist—his first in decades. Benjamin’s entire world is upended when he discovers, or more accurately is forced to discover, that dentists are the gatekeepers of a magical secret that promises unimaginable power for a select few. Benjamin is one of those few, and just maybe the most powerful ever. If only he could figure out how any of it works…

With this secret comes the revelation that the Fey, creatures of myth and legend, are not only real, but are hiding in plain sight, disguised as the humans they hate. Accompanied by a rebellious dentist, a strong-willed teenager, and a surly gnome with a sweet tooth, Benjamin must navigate his new reality, avoid his own debilitating skepticism, and protect his family—and sanity—from the FIDs (Fey in Disguise) and an overzealous American Dental Association with plans of its own.
